Good morning fellow employees. It's Wednesday; but not only is it November 9, it is the Feast of the Dedication of the Latin Basilica in Rome. So what are we doing here?? Let's get to Rome!
The INs and OUTs
Dan Smart and Bill are back in the office today. They look so relieved to be in New England again after what must have been only the harshest of climates in Orlando, Florida.
Kathleen and Dan Connors are still in Montreal for LWC meetings.
Julie is still in Paris. Please pray for her safety as France is definitely undergoing some trying times.
Katie Collings is out sick today. Which means I'm going to have to scan my own stories today, which also means I'm going to be completely lost. Great!
The Results
CAROL was the first person to correctly answer yesterday's trivia question. She was the first to e-mail that JOHN BAYARD ANDERSON, a representative from Illinois, ran a moderately successful independent candidacy for president in 1980. He garnered 7% of the popular vote in an election that saw then California Governor Ronald Reagan defeat the incumbent President Jimmy Carter. Ralph Nader wishes he could get 7%!
More trivia on Friday.
"NO!" was the response from the voters of the Town of Stonington when it came to the issue of hiring a town manager and expanding the board of selectmen to five. FYI.
Thought for the Day: "There's no way to know for sure without finding out what a 'kg' is, and my belief, as an American, is that if I have to start understanding the metric system, then the terrorists have won." ~ Dave Barry
