Kerry Moriarty was the first to correctly respond that Canadian Thanksgiving falls on the second Monday in October. Kudos to Valerie for noting that this is the same as Columbus Day in the U.S.

There has been some anger, confusion, and venom spilled over my second question: What is the national sport in Canada? Most people - predictably - guessed ice hockey. Now, until recently this was incorrect. I always understood that lacrosse was the national sport, harking back to the days when the French controlled Canada. Astute Catholic Digest editor Kerry Weber pointed out a little thing called the Canada National Sports Act of 1994 which changed things. Having passed through Canadian Parliament, it provided that the official SUMMER sport of Canada is lacrosse, while the new official WINTER sport is ice hockey. So those of you (and it was many) replied with hockey, you were half right. So, for being half right, Congratu!

And, to admit my mistake, a new trivia question!
What Bayard employee is an accomplished ice hockey player in his/her own right, and is good friends with hockey legend Guy LaFleur?
