Tony Biviano, the General Manager of John Garratt Publishing, will be in our offices on Thursday. John Garratt Publishing is the book distributor for 23rd in Australia. He'll be here around 10 am and will be meeting with Sales for much of the day. Please contact Dan or Kerry if you would like to schedule a meeting time with him.

Lise-Marie contacted us this morning to share an update on her husband’s recovery from yesterdays surgery. Unfortunately, Mark remains quite weak and many complications continue. To support Lise-Marie during these exhausting times and to pray for Mark’s healing, you are invited to gather in the large conference room today at 2:00 pm for a brief prayer.

To all,
Mark had his gallbladder removed around 3:30 yesterday afteroon, he was in the recovery room until 10:00pm. He slept for about three hours last night and has been up in excrutiating pain since 2:15. He tried to walk at 3:00am and was so weak and shaky we only made it about 30 feet and returned to bed, requested more pain meds and found that he was bleeding from one of the incisions.
We waited for a surgical resident to come and remove the plastic covering as the nurse did not feel confident to make a dressing change. He finally came up at 5:40 changed the dressing and said it was "red" - great explanation NOT.
Mark is shaking constantly and it is not from being cold, and I am worried sick. The resident said put another blanket on which we did and now he is shaking and sweating.
We are waiting now for the PA/Doctor on call to come in this morning which should be in the next two hours. Mark keeps saying this surgery is worse then the other two and that something feels wrong.

Please Please Please Please keep him in your prayers. I have to believe that we have not gone through all of this for nothing. There has to be some light in the tunnel. I will keep you posted.

Here's An Idea
Let's have a name "Puppy" contest. We can vote on what name we like the best. The person with the winning name will get to have "puppy" on their desk for a couple days. After that puppy can visit other people who would be rewarded or soothed as needed by people reporting to me anyone who has done a good deed or just needs a puppy to make their day/week a little better because they may have had a bad day. I'll keep a list of who has had puppy so by end of year, everyone will have had a chance to have puppy on their desk.--Andrea

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRET! WE WISH YOU A BEAUTIFUL AND BLESSED DAY!

Happy 20th Anniversary, Dan Connors!
Today we are pleased and grateful to celebrate Dan Connors’ 20th anniversary with our company. His talent, dedication, kindness, and cheerfulness make him not only a stellar colleague, but a stellar person. In honor of the anniversary, editorial has coordinated a small celebration, and we invite you all to join us downstairs in the café at noon to enjoy sandwiches and to congratulate Dan. Congratulations, Dan, from all of us!

Thank You
My family and I wish to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your care, compassion, concern, prayers, support and most generous gifts at this difficult time. It is truly a blessing to work with such a wonderful group of people. You'll never know how much we appreciate your generosity, and how we will never forget the kindness you've all shown to us.
We obviously had guardian angels watching over us that night as no one was hurt, you can replace material things but you can't replace a life. God brought us to it and will see us through it.
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts,
Bethany, Ed, Seth and Christian

Private pilots will fly over all 50 state capitols today as part
of the Prayerflight NDP event. In addition to praying for the states
and their residents, each state's constitution and its acknowledgement
of God's guidance will be read aloud.
"It is our goal to unify our nation from the air and land, by each
state praying for return to gratitude and dedication to God," said
Michael Harnishfeger, Prayerflight founder.
Events are also being planned in 166 Federal Prisons throughout the
country.
