...and then the bristly-faced stranger stepped out (though his face wasn't bristly when he arrived), almost as quickly as he had stepped in, never to return again. It seems like yesterday when he came into their lives. They didn't know what he did, or even why he was here; but when he didn't go away, they just got used to him being around.

The stranger is walking that lonely, treacherous road into the unknown now, but richer than he's ever been before, because he got to spend time with great people, in a great place, where he made some great friendships he'll never forget.

Though he walked off with a smile, it was hiding a tear.
