HALLOWEEN PARTY! Friday, October 31st Bayard Cafe Noon See Amy if you haven't already signed up for a food item or pizza donation. Don't forget-- Prizes for best costumes so dress up!
Instead of donating this year to local families, we decided to make a donation to the local food bank. The St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Mary's has a food bank and has sent us the following list for possible donations. Bayard will start this off by purchasing $250 worth of groceries but we need your help too. Donations may be left in the lobby area by Wednesday, December 10th. We'll also need help in bringing the grocery donations over to St. Mary's--so, if you have a truck or SUV and would like to help, please see Amy.

A note from Lise-Marie regarding our 401k program:
RPS will be holding 3 "webinars" next week targeted at the participants in our Retirement Plan(s). The purpose of the webinar is three-fold:
1. To give perspective on the current markets 2. To prevent participants who self-direct their accounts from making potentially catastrophic mistakes 3. To encourage participants to take advantage of the current market by increasing their deferrals
The webinar is a tool where people can log into a central site, watch a PowerPoint presentation, and hear a live narration of the slides through their computer. Recognizing that not everyone who wants to participate will be able to make these times, there will also be a "voiced-over PowerPoint," which is the same presentation, but on a DVD.
Everyone that wants to participate in the Webinar must register. Below is the "formal" invitation through which this is accomplished.

Halloween Potluck Halloween Falls on a Friday this year and we’re having a pot luck to celebrate. Feel free to wear costumes or Halloween gear, whatever you think will make for a good, fun time.
Please see Amy to sign up for what you can bring on the 31st. Everyone MUST CONTRIBUTE in some way. Pizza will be the main course but we’re also requesting soda, salad and dessert. If you can’t make something, we’re asking for a $5 donation for Pizza. We would like to see 100% participation. If you don’t see Amy first, she will come to see you.

Flu Shot Clinic Tuesday, November 11 11:30 am to 12:30 pm All employees are eligible to get a flu shot. Ten dollars is a great investment for sickness prevention this winter.
5 Ways to Beat the Flu 1) Get the vaccine!!! (if you work at 23rd/Bayard see Kerry about the details for the clinic to be announced at a later date). 2) Stay 3 feet away from anyone who is sick (coughing, sneezing, has the sniffles) 3) WASH YOUR HANDS! DO NOT use antibacterial soap when washing as this hurts your immune system. It is suggested you sing (to yourself!) the song to “Happy Birthday” twice. Use the hand sanitizers. 4) When sneezing or coughing, DO NOT sneeze into your hands. It is suggested to sneeze or cough into your elbow area. 5) Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth as these are areas that are sensitive and can cause the virus to enter your body.
Holiday Just a reminder that Monday, the 13th is Columbus Day and the New London office is closed.
