Overnight Shipments
If you need to send corporate documents overnight (letters and other lightweight miscellaneous documents, but no books or magazines), please see Sue. She will prepare the package and documents for Federal Express. The earlier in the day you can give her these items, the better. If such packages are not ready until after 4:00, the sender will be responsible for bringing it to one of the local drop boxes. Andrea will be Sue’s back up if she isn’t available.

Update on Pam
Pam has been in the hospital for several days and is expected to return to work on Thursday. Flowers were sent to her home from the company.

Who’s In, Who’s Out
Bill is traveling this week and will return to the office on Monday. Sue is out the rest of this week. Judy is out Thursday and Friday.

UPS Shipments
All out going UPS packages need to be to Melanie or Bert in the Shipping Department before 2:00; this allows them time to process it before our scheduled pick up at 3:00. Also, all out going US Mail needs to be in the "baskets" before 11:45, if it needs to be sent that day; this allows time to process it before our 12:00 pick up.

Dental Insurance
On November 1 the company dental insurance renews again. If anyone would like to sign up for this, please see Barbara before this date.

Did You Eat Your Veggies?
As you may have heard on the news this morning, there is an e-coli outbreak related to packages of raw spinach. The public is urged to throw out any fresh spinach and use caution when purchasing other raw vegetables.

Visitors
Jackie Goble, CRE from St Jude’s in Willington, CT will be here today along with 6 of her catechists and Marge from the Diocesan Office. They will arrive at 11:00 for a tour, presentation and lunch. They will leave about 1:00.

Kathleen is in France and Germany on business this week. Bill is in Texas this week and will return to the office on Friday, then next week he will be in Florida.

This afternoon and all day tomorrow Mary Carol is attending a bishop’s meeting.

Shredding
We have just contracted with a shredding service to dispose of unwanted confidential documents. If you have anything of this nature, rather than throwing it in the regular trash, please place it in the bin in the empty cubicle near Christie. The bin is locked and Shred-It will come in monthly to shred the material on site and return the empty box.

French Lessons
For all those signed up for French lessons, the first meeting is Monday, September 18. More information is posted on the white board above the mail boxes.

Deborah is here today. Valerie is out all week. Bill and Dan S. are in California all week. Bill will be in around 2 pm next Monday then off to Texas.

23rd author Marci Alborghetti will be a doing a book signing of her 2 books including her latest release, The Jesus Women. The reading coincides with the local event NEW LONDON VOICES: BOATS, BRUSHES, JAZZ & BLUES FESTIVAL

Friday-Sunday, September 8-10

20 + regional authors reading

20 jazz & blues artists at various venues around town

She'll be reading at the Hygenic at 4 pm on Saturday, 9/9/06 and signing afterwards.
